When I was little, I can remember going to various motorcycle races to watch my father race.  He used to race old Husky's and CZs on the dirt.  Later he started road racing.  He raced a couple of TZ350s, and later a Laverda (Italian made motorcycle).

I starting riding a Rupp minibike when I was around 5-years, and raced my first race on a KX80 at 8-years old.  As I grew older, I had a number of bikes that I upgraded to another KX80, CR80, KX125, CR250 and use of a KX500.

I was 13 years old when I first saw the 1983 VF750F Interceptor, and became infatuated with wanting one of these V4 motorcycles.

Finally, in 1987, I bought a used 1985 VF700F Interceptor.  I was sooooooo happy (and still am).

In 1991, I crashed my Interceptor up in Rocky Mountain Park.  The bike was in pieces.  The radiator broke in half, the hydraulic clutch reservoir was shattered, the clip on bars imploded the tank, no more upper fairing or dashboard, electrical controls gone, bad dent in the exhaust, no more blinkers, the handles in the back had some nice deep gouges.

I went to the Denver Used Motorcycle Parts (DUMP), and was able to get the bike back into running condition for low dollars.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the bike at that point, which leads us to the next picture.  I was so anal about my Interceptor, the crash had me disoriented.  Anyway, I have a picture with 3-bales of hay, just haven't been able to find it yet.

I decide to clean up the bike the best I could, and kept it!!!  The Interceptor went from my primary mode of transportation to a secondary (25% of the time) when I finally had a reliable car at the end of summer in 1993.  The Interceptor was slowly phased out of my routine, and finally had to be mothballed in ~2002.  I had decide that it really became unsafe to drive (at least fast).  When means became available, I really wanted to restore the bike to it's full glory.
